Joining Phase2, I was handed a sizzle reel as my first assignment with one catch: I had no video experience. That meant learning a new way to think about design, how static elements live and move in time, and how to storyboard a concept before a single frame was built. I got fluent in the brand, selected three client examples that represented our mission and capabilities, and art directed a motion designer to execute the vision.
The reel was built for events, social, and the website. But the deliverable didn't stop there. I also created a library of reusable animated brand elements: the Phase2 logo animation, lower thirds, transitions, and a set of animated graphic elements.
